MEDIA ALERT WHAT: Lisa Suriano, founder and creator of the Veggiecation Program, will conduct a cooking demonstration for kids from ages 6 to 10 during Move About Myrtle events, and on the menu is Teriyaki Snap Peas and Carrots. As practiced in Veggiecation programs implemented in elementary schools throughout New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, kids will be invited to help peel carrots, clean snap peas, sample Veggiecation's culinary creation, experience snap peas in their raw form and cast a vote on how they liked the recipe in the Veggiecation Ballot Boxes. Veggiecation Character Coloring Pages, word searches, crossword puzzles, mazes and crayons will be given out to all participants. Parents will receive a copy of Veggiecation's Top Five Tips to Grow the Love of Vegetables At Home and sample recipe booklets.
